Steady States Therapy
Colorado Online Therapy Services for Adolescents and Young Adults
With Eli Snyder, MSW, LCSW
Care that centers your experience, meets you where you’re at, and helps you find your steady state in life.
Services Provided
Therapy must be a space where you’re seen, heard, and valued for who you are and the experiences that have shaped you into the person you are now.
In my practice, I provide a confidential and supportive one-on-one online therapeutic space for adolescents and young adults navigating some of their most personal and vulnerable struggles in life related to self-concept, life transitions, ADHD, anxiety, depression, and athletic performance.
I’m walking (or running, if that’s your thing) alongside my clients, stride for stride, helping them navigate and understand their lived experiences while also building skills and tools for life. Independent from what brings us together, I will always create a space where growth can happen at a steady state.
Experience and Approach
After working as a middle and high school teacher, then a school-based therapist, and now a therapist in private practice, I am energized by the belief that adolescence is a time of individualizing, growth, and discovery.
Teens and young adults need a space where their experiences are seen as uniquely theirs. I see there is no one-size-fits-all model to the work I do. Rather, I tailor my approach to each person I work with. I approach each client from a space of curiosity and compassion, ensuring that the work we do feels steady and meaningful.
I seek collaboration from my clients so we’re doing the work of therapy and not just scratching the surface time and time again, session after session. I put a strong emphasis on earning the collaboration and trust of those I work with, as without that as the foundation, growth cannot happen.
Why Steady States?
In endurance sports, one of the first things any good coach will do is help their athlete find their steady state, which is that sweet spot between too easy and too hard. It’s where the real work happens, as that’s where aerobic capacity and endurance are built, in addition to the spot where athletes become more resilient to fatigue.
As a longtime distance runner, I have always been guided by this principle when it comes to the work I do. Whether in schools or in my private practice, the clients I work alongside must work together to discover what feels comfortably challenging but still sustainable.
In other words, therapy must have a goal and we must consistently pursue that goal in a way that feels comfortably challenging and sustainable. We need to engage in the productive struggle of discovery and growth in order to regain that sense of control, empowerment, and confidence in our daily lives we’re all seeking.
Without a goal, without doing the work, without leaning into what’s hard, without discovering our steady state, we may never grow into the person we want to be.
